Maryland’s week long tax-free event starts right now. The MD Tax Free Week 2016 starts Sunday, August 14th, 2016. The Maryland Sales Tax Holiday will end on August 20th, 2016, or next Saturday. Tax Free Week 2016 MD will kick-off their tax-exempt holiday with great savings at many local Maryland retailers.

What’s included in the MD Tax Free Week

Qualifying clothing and shoes priced less than $100 will be exempt from the Maryland’s 6% sales tax. According to the National Retail Federation, US back-to school-shoppers are spending an average of $674 in 2016. That would be a big savings for Maryland shoppers if you factor in the fact that you can match coupons with the tax savings.
